April Tucker
April is a native of Skaneateles, New York and completed her Physical Therapy Training at Daemen College in Buffalo, New York in 1989. She later returned to Daemen College and completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in January 2009. April has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 1986 and a local private practice owners group, My Hometown PT/PTAUNY, since 2010. My Hometown PT was formed to lobby against patients high co pays and other insurance issues.
April's area of interest in Physical Therapy includes: general orthopedics, sports, and post surgical rehab. April is trained in McKenzie techniques and she has taken continuing education focusing on Evidence-based practice and manual techniques in cervical, lumbar, thoracic, hip, knee, Kinesio Taping, ankle and shoulder injuries. April’s goal is to improve her skills through continuing education provide the best quality physical therapy care, in central New York, in a friendly caring environment.
April is also active in Marcellus Rotary, Skaneateles Community Band and Skaneateles United Methodist Church Missions. April enjoys: cross country skiing, snow shoeing, biking, swimming, running, hiking, crafts and being with family/friends.
